Corjan Mol

Biography

Corjan Mol is an author, historical researcher, and television presenter whose work explores historical mysteries, lost artifacts, and the intersection of history and technology.

Spark

Corjan's interest in historical investigation began in 1995, when he first read Holy Blood, Holy Grail. A fascination with medieval secrets and long-buried narratives took hold. What started as curiosity became an annual tradition: treasure-hunting journeys with his father through the French Pyrenees, following the trail of Rennes-le-Château, the mystery that inspired Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. He built a comprehensive online archive on the subject and launched a podcast in 2007. His work caught the attention of the BBC, who invited him to appear in the documentary series Forbidden History.

Television

Corjan is best known for his eight-year involvement with The Curse of Oak Island, the History Channel's flagship documentary series, broadcast in 79 countries to millions of viewers worldwide. He is part of the historical research organization behind the show, which has been running for 13 years and has built one of the most dedicated audiences in the documentary genre. He has also appeared in the spin-off series Tales from Oak Island, Beyond Oak Island and Digging Deeper.

Corjan is the presenter of Straten van Toen (Streets of the Past), an innovative television series that uses AI to recreate historical streets, representing a new direction in visual storytelling.

Author

Corjan and his American research partner Christopher Morford are the authors of The Jerusalem Files (Watkins/Penguin Random House), which traces the journey of the Menorah, the seven-branched candelabrum from Solomon's Temple, from ancient Jerusalem through medieval Europe under the Knights Templar, presenting evidence that the relic reached North America. Blending archival research with modern investigative techniques, the book became a bestseller in the US and Canada following its launch. They have recently signed a multi-year deal for the development of an adventure mystery book series for young readers based on real historical mysteries, with the first book scheduled for release in June 2027.

Entrepreneur

Corjan is an experienced transformation consultant who has helped financial institutions navigate complex change across Europe, the US, and Asia. Joining the Projective Group when it was just 25 people, he has been closely involved in shaping its positioning and growth into a 1,100-strong, pan-European transformation specialist. As an early partner, he contributes to the firm's strategic direction and international leadership.

His business background gives Corjan unique insights into data-driven decision making, digital transformation, and the practical applications of AI in enterprise contexts.

His tracks have been released by leading international dance labels, including Spinnin' Records, Revealed Recordings, Protocol Recordings and Armada Music, and have been streamed tens of millions of times.
